The absence of a kettle and cups in the room is quirky. You end up scavenging from reception for hot water and tea supplies.

The girl at the front desk, Diana, a sweetheart. She was super nice to us. We arrived early and she packed our bags, we went to eat, went back to the hotel and checked in, took a nap, took a shower, went out and. He was still there! Poor girl. That, let's see, she must have been eight hours, but always with a smile. Let them give her a raise. Well, the great location, 5 minutes from the ruckus on foot, just enough to get you far enough away not to be disturbed by the ruckus. . The big, clean room. We had a room on the seventh floor that had beautiful views of the mountain and modern buildings (I don't remember if it was a museum) that were lit up at night. The amenities were really clean, incredibly useful, not like the other hotels I've been to. . The cleaning was very good, some naughty hair in the bathroom but I, who have a hair up to the rump, know what it is like to try to clean it and not let it stay even a hair . The clean sheets, huge towels and even the white sill. The airport bus leaves you up the street from the hotel and there are many cafes around in case, as was my case, you don't have breakfast. The price was a little bit expensive but I booked it with little time, if you look at it later it has a better price. I can't complain either because for cleaning, location, facilities and staff, it's worth paying what I paid. . It's not a romantic hotel as such but it's great if you want to kick around the city and then take a break for 8 hours without anything or anyone bothering you. Highly recommended
The shower was a little slippery, if I'm an old lady I would have chosen me.

Excellent location. Super friendly reception staff (except for one girl with red hair who didn't answer even if you said good morning). The breakfast staff was great, even though they looked a bit overwhelmed, maybe with more staff they could be less overwhelmed. The breakfast seemed to me very complete and they are all the time pending in case something stays there and they replace it many times they do not manage to let it finish. At first they put us in a room from which the other room separated us by a door and there were children in the other room and we could hear all the crying and screaming. We called the reception asking if they could please change us, and they did.
To put it bluntly, pillows are already used a lot and they are cigarette paper. And the mattresses, I think you should change them, you can see the springs and they're very slippery.

The so-called breakfast was underwhelming, with sad, dry pastries and cold eggs on my second day. And I can't believe they couldn't even provide a double bed despite my multiple requests. I'm still appalled that they didn't offer a welcome gift or upgrade to compensate for all the inconveniences I faced. Almost a good review, but no.

They took a room with a terrace on the top floor. It's a great view. At least we had a fresh renovation on our floor. Both on the floor and in the room, including furniture and plumbing. Friendly staff. Everyone will show and tell. It's a good breakfast. Location - about 10 minutes on foot to the center and about 15 - to the Cathedral. I mean, close by. From the airport the bus stops nearby. Reception - 24 hours a day. It is possible, as we are, to arrive late, and after eviction - to leave things before leaving the city. Anyway, we're happy. A little nuance: In terms of location took "between the center and the railway station", so that both - in walking distance. It turned out that we were going to leave Santiago by bus. But the bus station is a long way from the hotel.

I was offered a room with great views to the "cidadde da culture" hills. Perfect central location next to old town and rail station, airport and the train stations. It also was close to the old center...

Location was excellent both near the railway station, which as I was travelling by train was inportant and also near the bus stop to the airport. It is also only a few minutes walk to the old town, cathedral, bars and restaurants. The hotel was quite although my room was facing onto the road. Although travelling alone I was allocated a double room with the usual bathroom and shower. The buffet breakfast was cold food only but with a varied choice. I felt that the hotel and bedroom was a little dated but perfectly acceptable for a short stay in Santiago.
Use of the hotel internet was expensive at 3 Euros for fifteen minutes. The bedroom was also extremely hot but it was just a case of turning the radiators off.

Good location- steep hill into city turned out to be a slight incline. Some people need to travel more! Everything as expected . Ideal for sight seeing. We walked miles every day. Desk staff helpful and friendly and spoke good English. Bus from airport cost 3euros or 5 return and stopped just round the corner. Station down the road but no maps available for planning. Tourist office supplies all info.

Centrally located and only a short walk to the Cathedral, this hotel offers a comfortable stay. The air-conditioned rooms are quiet and cozy, perfect for a restful night. Breakfast features excellent options, including Colombian coffee, though early departures may require special arrangements. While my invoice was incorrectly issued in my partner's name, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The experience would have rated higher without the checkout issue.

Clean, air conditioned rooms. Modern amenities. Very friendly staff. The hotel is a few blocks from the city center of Santiago, but also less than a five minute walk to the train station. Also conveniently located next door to a supermarket. We stayed here after walking to the Camino to decompress. Hotel Gelmirez offered a wonderful refuge. And the price was terrific and best in class.

Gelmirez has a fantastic location, just a short walk to the cathedral. My double room was comfy, and the bathroom was lovely with a nice bath. The staff were pleasant too, arranged a taxi for my departure, super helpful.
